The thought of growing a mustache has never crossed my mind until I joined the Wide Open Tech crew in Wilmington. Near the end of October, about a month after my arrival, talk of “The Mustaches” began filling the Wilmington office. It came to my attention that every year, during the month of November, the guys of Wide Open Technologies participate in a local fundraiser called Mustaches for Kids: ILM, a.k.a. M4K-ILM.
The idea is simple:
– Grow a mustache over the month of November
– Use your mustache as an influence to collect pledge funds
– Donate the collected money to child-benefiting charities around the area
M4K-ILM hosts weekly ‘check-ins’ at local businesses around Wilmington. At every check-in, a new picture is taken of your mouth-brow, and any cash pledges you may have received are turned in.
Because of the weekly check-ins, we have pictures of the Wide Open Technologies team’s mustache life cycle!
