Performance Culture gets a custom web application
The client
Performance Culture “believes people deserve a chance to be great and work in an environment they love; and that an organization’s culture should build a sense of community while fulfilling its mission. We believe managers should be more than supervisors – they should coach and mentor their employees.”
There are patterns of success while working with companies that defied the odds during the Great Recession (2008 – 2011). Dallas Romanowski, the founder of Performance Culture, published the Performance Culture book in August 2012 describing these patterns to include four simple elements: People, Process, Strategy and Leadership.

Performance Culture asked Wide Open Tech to build a unique platform that provides leaders and supervisors with an agile, effective employee appraisal system to capture the information needed to support performance improvement efforts. They also wanted to eliminate the need for cumbersome spreadsheets, Word docs, and PDFs that get lost in the land of inboxes.

The Results
Wide Open Tech designed a modern user interface and developed this web based application using Yii2 to achieve the vision for bringing Performance Culture to life.
The web app gives employees a clear picture of how to achieve their personal and career goals through coaching, feedback, and defined expectations from their supervisors. For management teams, Performance Culture facilitates the employee evaluation and feedback process within one place via a Performance Values Matrix and survey feature.

We implemented mobile check-ins so users can access the web app anywhere, integrated a Leadership Planning Agenda, LMS, and peer-to-peer feedback features as well as an international invoicing system with Stripe so Performance Culture customers could sign-up with ease.
